Beards For Boobies
In 1992, a small moment run by volunteers was born and fast-forwarding to today, this moment has grown to be Canada's largest single-day event run by volunteers in support of fighting breast cancer. This event is known as the CIBC Run for The Cure.
Breast cancer continues to be the most diagnosed cancer, touching the lives of many women and their families day after day. The CIBC Run for The Cure helps provides support to women, their families and friends that have been touched by this disease. This event brings thousands of people together to honor and celebrate all who have fought, are fighting and have survived this horrible disease. We can make a difference by coming together and showing support.
In 2019 @nigelwoodz brought together a group of Bearded Villains from surrounding BV chapters in Ontario to create the team Beards For Boobies. Starting in 2019 and then 2020, we are proud to say that we have raised over $5,300 in support of fighting breast cancer between the two years. As we continue to support the CIBC Run for the Cure event, we hope to grow our Beards For Boobies team and grow our fundraising efforts to continue to help fight this deadly disease.
